1 April 2021 | Update from Department of Resources

Please find below the latest information on COVID-19 from Department of Resources and how it relates to the resources sector:

Easing of Greater Brisbane restrictions

From midday today, Thursday 1 April, Greater Brisbane’s strict lockdown will end.

You can leave your home for any purpose, however some restrictions will remain in place until Thursday 15 April 2021.

Wearing a mask

For all of Queensland, it is mandatory to carry a face mask at all times when you leave home. You must wear the mask in indoor spaces, on public transport, and in the workplace where you can’t physically distance (provided it is safe to do so).

Resources workers should follow the mandatory mask requirements.

Active contact tracing alerts and locations

Before leaving your home you should check the list of sites identified by recent contact tracing efforts to ensure you haven’t attended any of those sites. If you have visited any of those sites, or have any symptoms, you must quarantine at home immediately and follow all public health advice.

These sites are updated as contact tracing continues, it therefore important that you regularly check back to determine whether you have visited any of the identified locations.

Travelling to another State

Resources workers departing Queensland to another state or territory should check the relevant State Government border restrictions currently in place for the state you intend travelling to.

Follow company health plans

All resources companies must have a health plan to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Resources workers should follow their company health plan, as well as any other advice provided to resources companies to keep their workforce, families and communities safe.

Get tested

If you have any symptoms at all or have been to the contact tracing alert locations, get testedimmediately and quarantine at home until you receive a negative result.
